Compared to regular black tea, Thai Boba Tea is more favorable by using a mixture of condensed milk (sweetened) and evaporated milk (unsweetened). Its unique and refreshing sweetness is the biggest charming point for boba tea lovers. Let's try to make it at home!
Ingredients:
1. Tea (Thai iced tea mix)
2. Milk (Whole milk or half-and-half).
3. Sweetener
4. Ice
5. Tapioca Pearls
Steps
1. Prepare the tea:
-Approximately 5 cups of water just to a boil
-Loose tea and the sugar and mix well to combine
-Reduce heat to low and cover.
-Steep for approximately 15-20 minutes.
2. Strain via a fine mesh strainer and cool
3. Prepare the Boba (Tapioca Balls)
-Boil water
-Add boba and stir well
-Allow the boba to cook for approximately 5-7 minutes.
-Drain and rinse under cold water
-Transfer them into a clean bowl
4. Assemble
-Divide cooked boba between glasses.
-Fill each one with ice and 1 – 1 1/2 cups room Thai Tea
-Add approximately 2-3 (or more) tablespoons of milk
-Stir well
